Differences in Weed Suppression between Two Modern and Two Old Wheat Cultivars at Different Sowing Densities

چکیده
Crop losses to weeds can be exacerbated in modern agricultural systems because crop cultivars have high population yields but low individual competitiveness. High density cropping offer the possibility of effectively suppressing by increasing initial size-asymmetric advantage crops over weeds. We tested this hypothesis an outdoor mesocosm experiment with two old (Cultivar Heshangtou (HST) and Jinbaoyin (JBY)) (Xihan2 (XH2) Xihan3 (XH3)) spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), grown a uniform pattern at four sowing densities under weed pressure. Two annuals (Brassica napus Linum usitatissimum) were used as model sown same all treatments. Weed growth decreased yield increased for cultivars, although levelled off highest densities. The suppressed better than new density, reflecting decline competitiveness cultivars. At however, XH3 well supporting that traits promote suppression are different vs. density. Increasing effective way suppress many systems, there is great potential developing genotypes do produce much currently available.

Salt Sensitivity of Two Wheat Cultivars at Different Growth Stages
To determine salt sensitivity for wheat at various growth stages, a factorial experiment arranged as randomized complete block design was conducted in the ambient environment at the National Salinity Research Center, Yazd, Iran. Treatment were two cultivars of wheat (Kavir & Roshan) and salinity imposed at emergence, tillering, stem elongation, spike emergence and one week after anthesis. A con...

The functional response of Aphidius ervi to different Sitobion avenae densities on two wheat cultivars (Sardary and Alvand) was examined in laboratory conditions. Experiments were carried out in test tubes on an F2 lab generation without wheat clusters and also on F2 and F5 generations in pots using wheat clusters. In the tubes, female wasps were exposed to aphid densities of 2, 4, 7, 14, 28, 3...

The effect of cadmium and mercuric chlorides on some physiological traits in two cultivars of wheat.
One of the important abiotic stresses that negatively affect cereals such as wheat is heavy metals. Soil pollution with heavy metals has become one of the major environmental concerns resulting from the industrial development and use of fertilizers containing heavy metals. One way to counteract the negative effects of heavy metals in plants which produce reactive oxygen species is the activatio...
